Camera Case

I started out by finding an embroidery pattern on Pinterest, and then transferred it onto my fabric.

I choose a bright pink embroidery floss.

 and here's the finished product!

7 Things I'm Lov'in Right Now

It's almost spring time! Even though it's March and there's still snow on the ground we can all still dream of pastels, florals, and warm weather : ) here are 7 of my favorite spring must-haves.
I love a pretty statement earring to go with a simple sundress.

These are butter London's new 2013 spring colors. I love painting my nails pastel colors in the spring!

I've always loved Toms, and now that they made these amazing shabby-chic floral classics, I think I'm obsessed.

Most days I prefer to wear a sun dress rather than shorts and a tee. I love this one from mod cloth because of the fit and flare silhouette and the bright pattern.

 blush high-waisted shorts- Love!
I love these sandals because of their color and the bow adds a touch of cuteness
Sunglasses are a basic summer need and I like to add a pop of color by doing a red!

Fabric basket

I love making fabric baskets because they are super easy and are super useful. I keep them everywhere around the house to help me stay organized. I made this one with a bright combination of fabrics, and added a cute appliqué of hipster glasses out of a grey felt.

Itty-Bitty I pod case

I made my tiny i pod nano a case this weekend. the case was to small for a zipper so I made a flap with a button. I also made a small pocket inside for my headphones and used a Liberty of London botton.
enjoy : )

Valentines Day

As my favorite holiday, I take my valentine making seriously. In preparation, I made all of my valentines this weekend. I think I might have gone a little overboard with the glitter...
and don't forget to spread the V-day love <3

S'more Bars

What better way to spend a snow day than to bake some sweet desserts? I found this amazing recipe on Pinterest and had been dying to try it for a while.

1/2 a cup of brown sugar
1 cup of sugar

1 1/2 cup of graham cracker crumbs
2 tsp. of baking powder
dash of salt
3-4 king sized Hershey bars
3 cups of marshmallow fluff (at least 2 jars)

1. Preheat over to 350 degrees
2. In a large bowl cream together butter and both sugars until light.
3. Beat in eggs and vanilla
4. In a small bowl, whisk together flour, graham cracker crumbs, baking powder and salt.
5. Add to butter mixture and mix at a low speed till combined.

Assembly:

1. Divide dough in half and press half of the dough into an even layer on the bottom of a greased pan.

2. Place the chocolate bars over the dough. break the chocolate to create a single layer if necessary.

3. Spread the fluff over the chocolate

4. Place the remaining dough in a single layer on top of the fluff with fingers.
5. Bake for 40 minutes, until lightly browned. Let it cool completely before cutting into bars.
and enjoy!
Here's your final product.

Sun Printed Bliss

My favorite store Make and Mingle started carrying the coolest fabric that allows you to make amazing sun prints! I got this tutorial off the Make and Mingle blog.
First you lay your letters or shapes on to the fabric, then lay it out in the sun! I chose to do mine a little later in the afternoon for less contrast with the letters.
 30 minutes later....
After being in the sun rinse the fabric until blue!
I made pencil case for my sister out of my sun print, and decided to print the word bliss.
Because don't we all need a little more bliss in our lives?
For the other side of the pencil case I made a patchwork of different fabric scraps to match the letters. I stitched over the strips to make in look like a french seam.
Here's my end product!
